PRE-RIDING INSPECTION
Prior to starting
your
motorcycle,
perform
a general inspection as a
matter
of
habit
to make sure
that
the
motorcycle
is
in good, safe riding condition.
Check the following items
and
if
adjustment
or servicing
is
necessary, refer to
the
appropriate
section
in
the manual.
Engine oil level -
Check
the
level
and add
if
necessary. (See page 42.)
Fuel
level - Fill the fuel
tank
when necessary. (See page 22.)
Brakes - Inspect
the
operation
of
the
front
and
rear brakes. Adjust
the
free play
if
it
is
excessive.
(See page 78.)
Tires -
Check
the
air pressure
and
tires for wear
or
damage. (See page 94.)
Battery
electrolyte
- Check the level
and add
if
necessary. (See page 90.)
