Do not use the starter motor for more than 5 seconds. If the engine
fails to start, release the key, and wait at least 10 seconds before
operating the starter motor again.

Turn the automatic throttle switch ON (Equipped type only).
Insert the engine switch key and turn the engine switch to ON
position and wait until the charge warning lamp goes off (for about
4 seconds).
Turn the engine switch to the START position and hold it there until
the engine starts.
