Make sure the brake arm, spring and
fasteners are in good condition.
Lubricate the brake cable with a
commercially available cable lubricant to
prevent premature wear and corrosion.
Check the brake cable for kinks or signs of
wear that could cause sticking or failure.
After adjustment, push the brake arm ( )
to confirm that there is a gap between the
rear brake adjusting nut ( ) and the brake
arm pin ( ).
After adjustment, confirm the freeplay of
the brake lever.
