11 General
The Extinguishing Control Computer 8010 - series 2 is a fire alarm control panel with an integrated controller for
use in extinguishing systems from a single – up to eight extinguishing areas.
With a total of eight automatic alarm zones and 240 connectable automatic fire detectors, it is possible to
monitor a single extinguishing area as defined by the VdS Guideline 2496.
The fire alarm and extinguishing computer 8010 can be easily connected to the analog loop of the fire alarm
system 8000 via the attachable esserbus
®
communication transponder. Up to eight fire alarm and extinguishing
computers 8010 can be operated on one loop in conjunction with other units, e.g. fire detectors or esserbus
®
transponders. This enables up to eight individual extinguishing areas to be monitored via one analog loop.
In addition, five permanently assigned inputs are available for connecting technical zones of units, for example
the manual alarm zone or the Emergency Stop zone. The required control functions can be realized with the
total of 13 programmable relay outputs.
A separate control and indicating panel can be installed in the housing door for individual operation of the fire
alarm and extinguishing computer 8010.
The Extinguishing Control Computer 8010 - series 2 must be configured via the programming software LMST
8010 (Part No. 775814).
VdS compliant fire alarm systems must be designed in accordance with VdS guidelines.
Any operation on the installed fire alarm system must only be carried out by authorised personal in
accordance with relevant safety procedures and in coordination with the emergency services.
