Signal Strength
Ensure that the signal strength for the chosen network is at least 30% .
Programming
Program the module using the GPRS [56.4] and GSM [56.5] menu options.
Remote Servicing connections
If the GSM module is to be used for Remote servicing please note that a suitable GSM
modem must be used on the PC running the RSS or UMS software. A modem such as the
Sierra Wireless Fastrack is suitable. Communication over GSM will be significantly slower
than PSTN. Using the GPRS channel and an Ethernet link to the PC will allow faster
communications.
