12 Servicing
12.1 Sensor replacement
The sensors that are used with the Sensepoint XCD RFD have no serviceable parts.
When they have reached the end of their operational life, simply replace the sensor or the
sensor cartridge.

Only a qualied installation engineer should service the sensor. Ensure power is off before
carrying out any maintenance procedures. The only maintenance required is sensor
replacement and lter changing (if tted to an accessory). To replace the complete sensor
refer to the Quick Start Guide of Sensepoint XCD Remote Cartridge (PN: 3001M5022_1).
Caution: The following procedure should be followed carefully and only performed by
suitably trained personnel.
A fault condition will be signalled by the detector if the sensor is removed with the unit
under power.
WARNINGS
Take care when handling sensors as they may contain corrosive solutions. Do not tamper
or in any way dis-assemble the sensor. Do not expose to temperatures outside the
recommended range. Do not expose sensor to organic solvents or ammable liquids.
Care should be taken when removing and retting the Sensepoint XCD plug-in Sensor
Cartridge to the Sensor Socket so that damage to the connection pins can be avoided.
