7. SERVICE INSTRUCTIONS
HANDSET
Summary:
This service instruction outlines the procedure to replace the handset.
Tools Required:
• 5mm hex key
• side cutters
Parts Required:
• 1x handset
• 1x standard cable tie
WARNING: Ensure all cables are secured away from moving
parts. Use existing cable management routing.
Location:
The handset is secured at the head end (HE) of the deck. The handset cable plugs into port A of the control box.
Procedure:
1. Raise the deck to the maximum height position and apply castor
brakes.
2. Unplug the power cord from the mains supply.
3. Using a 5mm hex key, remove the cable block securing the
handset cable to the deck HE.
4. Cut cable tie securing the handset cable.
5. Remove the control box cable clip and unplug the handset cable
from port A.
6. Reverse the procedure to install the new handset.
NOTE: Do not over tighten the cable and ensure the cord is
located correctly in the slot of the cable block.
7. Plug the power cord into the mains supply. Verify all stretcher
functions are working correctly before returning to service.
