7. SERVICE INSTRUCTIONS
BATTERY
Summary:
This service instruction outlines the procedure to replace the batteries in the control box.
Tools Required:
T20 torx screwdriver
Parts Required:
2x batteries
Location:
The batteries are stored in the control box located at the head end (HE) of the deck. The batteries are housed
under the plastic cover without the LED light.
WARNING: Ensure the battery terminals are completely
insulated and do not touch each other.
Procedure:
1. Raise the deck to the maximum height position and apply castor
brakes.
2. Unplug the power cord from the mains supply.
3. Using a T20 Torx screwdriver, remove the four screws from the
battery cover. Lift off the battery cover and set aside.
4. Lift out both batteries as a pair.
5. Disconnect the spade terminals on the batteries.
6. Connect the new batteries identically to the old set.
7. Fit the new batteries back into their designated slots, ensuring the
fuse holder is correctly positioned.
8. Finish by reversing the procedure from step 3.
9. Plug the stretcher into the mains supply and allow the new
batteries to charge for 24 hours.
10. Verify all stretcher functions are working correctly before returning
to service.
