4. Remove the board (4) from the computer.
To install the IR board, reverse this procedure.

To remove the fan, use this procedure and illustration.

Before removing the fan, follow these steps:
1. Prepare the computer for disassembly (see Preparation for disassembly on page 30).
2. Remove the bottom cover (see Bottom cover on page 30).
3. Disconnect the battery cable from the system board (see Battery on page 31).
Remove the fan:
1. Remove the two Phillips M2.0 × 3.0 screws (1) that secure the fan to the computer.
2. Lift the tape (2) that covers the fan cable connector on the system board.
3. Disconnect the fan cable (3) from the system board.
