Preventive Maintenance
The
real-time clock contains a lithium
battery
which should be replaced
once a year.
The
real-time clock
is
located on
the
system interface board.
Although
the
battery
is
available from Hewlett-Packard, it usually can
be obtained locally.
It
is a 3V, 160
mAh
battery.
Make

WARNING
Battery
may explode if mistreated. Do
not
recharge, disassemble
or
dispose of in fire.
When changing
the
battery, remember
that
the real-time clock will reset
to
its default
state,
and
it is necessary
to
set it
to
the
current time. Note
also
that
the
battery
retainer clip
is
a conductor,
and
merely lifting it
up
without
changing
the
battery
will still cause
the
real-time clock
to
reset.
