Before removing the optical drive board, follow these steps:
1. Prepare the computer for disassembly (Preparation for disassembly on page 25).
2. Remove the optical drive (see Optical drive (select products only) on page 26).
3. Remove the bottom cover (see Bottom cover on page 29).
4. Remove the battery (see Battery on page 31).
Remove the optical drive board:
1. Disconnect the cable from the ZIF connector on the optical drive board (1).
2. Remove the two Phillips M2.0 × 3.0 screws (2), and then remove the board from the computer (3).
Reverse this procedure to replace the optical drive board.
