Before removing the power connector cable, follow these steps:
1. Prepare the computer for disassembly (Preparation for disassembly on page 25).
2. Remove the optical drive (see Optical drive (select products only) on page 26).
3. Remove the bottom cover (see Bottom cover on page 29).
4. Remove the battery (see Battery on page 31).
Remove the power connector cable:
1. Remove the two Phillips M2.5 × 6.0 screws from the right display hinge (1), and then rotate the hinge up
from on top of the power connector (2).
2. Disconnect the power connector cable from the system board (3).
3. Remove the power connector cable from the computer (4).
Reverse this procedure to install the power connector cable.
