Upgrading the system software
To upgrade the system software by using the boot-loader command:
1. Perform the copy command to copy the system software image file newest.bin from the master to
the root directory of the storage media on the subordinate with the number 2. Make sure to save
the system software image to the root directories of the storage media of all member switches.
<Sysname> copy newest.bin slot2#flash:/
Copy flash:/newest.bin to slot2#flash:/newest.bin?[Y/N]:y
%Copy file flash:/newest.bin to slot2#flash:/newest.bin...Done.
2. Perform the boot-loader command in user view to load the file newest.bin and specify the file as
the main image file at the next reboot.
<Sysname> boot-loader file newest.bin slot all main
This command will set the boot file of the specified board. Continue? [Y/N]:y
The specified file will be used as the main boot file at the next reboot on slot
1!

3. Save the current configuration in any view to prevent data loss.
