The switch has no default ID in
standalone mode. After it
switches to the IRF mode, it uses
the member ID pre-configured in
standalone mode by default.
CAUTION:
• Member ID changes take effect at the reboot of the switch.
• Change member IDs for the switches in an IRF fabric with caution. The change might cause
configuration change and even data loss.
• Different switch models and cards have different requirements for member IDs. See “Setting a member
ID
for the switch.”
Specifying a priority for a member switch
Follow these steps to specify a priority for a member switch:
