Before removing an installed expansion card, disconnect any cables
that may be attached to the expansion card.
8. To remove an expansion card:
a. If the latch is not open, squeeze the sides of the latch together
to release it 1.
b. Open the latch 2.
c. Hold the card at each end, and carefully rock it back and forth
until the connectors pull free from the socket.
d. Pull the expansion card straight up from the socket 3. Be
sure not to scrape the card against the expansion card
assembly.

9. Store the card in anti-static packaging.
10. If you are not installing a new expansion card, install an
expansion slot cover to close the open slot.
