2. Remove the solid-state drive cover (2).
3. Lift the front edge of the solid-state drive until it rests at an angle. (1), and then pull the solid-state drive
away from the socket to remove it (2).
4. Thoroughly clean the thermal material from the surfaces of the solid-state drive and the solid-state
drive top shield each time the solid-state drive top shield is removed. The solid-state drive thermal pad
is available in the Solid-State Drive Thermal Pad Kit, spare part number N13559-001. Note that this
thermal pad is already attached to the solid-state drive cover, which is not available as a spare part. The
following illustration shows the replacement thermal material locations.
