2. To replace the IR board cable, open each ZIF connector (1), insert the IR board cable into each connector
(2), and then close each connector (3) to secure the cable in place.
USB Type-C bracket
To remove the USB Type-C bracket, use this procedure and illustration.

Before removing the USB Type-C bracket, follow these steps:
1. Prepare the computer for disassembly (see Preparation for disassembly on page 33).
2. Remove the bottom cover (see Bottom cover on page 33).
3. Remove the battery (see Battery on page 34).
4. Remove the display assembly (see Display assembly on page 53).
5. Remove the heat sink (see Heat sink on page 43).
6. Remove the fans (see Fan on page 42).
7. Remove the IR board (see IR board cable on page 50).
8. Remove the system board (see System board on page 48).
Remove the USB Type-C bracket:
1. Remove the Phillips M2.0 × 3.5 screw (1) that secures the bracket to the system board.
