USB/audio board (includes USB cable and audio cable) 495065-001
Before removing the USB/audio board, follow these steps:
1. Shut down the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn the
computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system.
2. Disconnect all external devices connected to the computer.
3. Disconnect the power from the computer by first unplugging the power cord from the AC outlet and
then unplugging the AC adapter from the computer.
4. Remove the battery (see
Battery on page 45).
5. Remove the following components:
a. Hard drive (see
Hard drive on page 49)
b. Optical drive (see
Optical drive on page 52)
c. Keyboard (see
Keyboard on page 56)
d. Fan (see
Fan on page 60)
e. Heat sink (see
Heat sink on page 61)
f. Switch cover (see
Switch cover on page 69)
g. TouchPad (see
TouchPad on page 66)
h. Display assembly (see
Display assembly on page 73)
i. Top cover (see
Top cover on page 79)
j. Speaker assembly (see
Speaker assembly on page 81)
k. Modem module (see
Modem module on page 83)

Remove the USB/audio board:
1. Disconnect the cable from the USB/audio board.
2. Remove the Torx T82.5×8.0 screw (1) that secures the USB/audio board to the base enclosure.
