3. Remove the card reader cable (3) from the computer.
To install the card reader cable, reverse this procedure.

Before removing the card reader, follow these steps:
1. Prepare the computer for disassembly (see Preparation for disassembly on page 39).
2. Remove the bottom cover (see Bottom cover on page 39).
3. Remove the battery (see Battery on page 41).
4. Remove the card reader cable (see Card reader cable on page 66).
Remove the card reader:
1. Remove the three Phillips M2.0 × 2.5 broad head screws (1) that secure the card reader to the
computer.
