To install the fingerprint reader, reverse this procedure.
Fingerprint reader cable
To remove the fingerprint reader cable, use this procedure and illustration.
NOTE: The fingerprint reader cable is included in the Cable Kit, spare part number N09288-001.
Before removing the fingerprint reader cable, follow these steps:
1. Prepare the computer for disassembly (see Preparation for disassembly on page 39).
2. Remove the bottom cover (see Bottom cover on page 39).
3. Remove the battery (see Battery on page 41).
4. Remove the right speaker (see Speakers on page 45).
5. Remove the fingerprint reader (see Fingerprint reader on page 59).
Remove the fingerprint reader cable:

Release the ZIF connector (1) the fingerprint reader cable is connected to, and then disconnect the
fingerprint reader cable (2) from the fingerprint reader.
To install the fingerprint reader cable, reverse this procedure.
RTC battery
To remove the RTC battery, use this procedure and illustration.
