3. Remove the speaker from the computer (3).
NOTE: Be sure that the rubber gaskets are installed in the mounting holes in the speaker (4) before
installation.
Reverse this procedure to install the right speaker.
Heat sink
To remove the heat sink, use this procedure and illustration.

Before removing the heat sink, follow these steps:
1. Prepare the computer for disassembly (see Preparation for disassembly on page 29).
2. Remove the bottom cover (see Bottom cover on page 29).
3. Disconnect the battery cable from the system board (see Battery on page 30).
Remove the heat sink:
1. In the order indicated on the heat sink, loosen the seven captive Phillips screws (1) that secure the heat
sink to the system board.
2. Remove the noncaptive Phillips M2.0 × 3.0 screw (2) and two Phillips M2.0 × 5.0 screws (3) that secure
the heat sink to the computer.
