Removal and Replacement Procedures
5.18 System Board
When replacing the system board, ensure that the following
components are removed from the defective system board and
installed on the replacement system board:
Memory module (Section 5.7)
Mini PCI communications card (Section 5.8)
RTC battery (Section 5.9)
Processor (Section 5.11)
Modem board (Section 5.17)
1. Prepare the notebook for disassembly (Section 5.3) and
remove the following components:
a. Hard drive (Section 5.4)
b. Optical drive (Section 5.6)
c. Heat sink (Section 5.10)
