Procedure
1. Power down the server (Power down the server on page 24).
2. Remove all power:
a. Disconnect each power cord from the power source.
b. Disconnect each power cord from the server.
3. Do one of the following:
a. Extend the server from the rack (Extend the server from the rack on page 24).
b. Remove the server from the rack (Remove the server from the rack on page 25).
4. Remove the access panel (Remove the access panel on page 25).
5. Remove the left DIMM guard from the system board.
6. Assemble the connector/cable harness pin openings to the alignment pegs on the DIMM guard.
7. Install the plastic cover on the DIMM guard.
8. Install the DIMM guard, and then connect the cable to the system board.
