Item Component Description
(1) WLAN antennas* Send and receive wireless signals to communicate with
WLANs.
(2) Internal microphones Record sound.
(3) Webcam light On: The webcam is in use.
(4) Webcam Records video and captures photographs. Some models
allow you to video conference and chat online using
streaming video.
To use the webcam:

Windows 10 – Type camera in the taskbar search
box, and then select Camera.

Windows 8 – Access HP Support Assistant. To access
HP Support Assistant on the Start screen, select the
HP Support Assistant app.
●
Windows 7 – Select Start > All Programs >
Communication and Chat > HP WebCam.
(5) Internal display switch Turns off the display and initiates Sleep if the display
is closed while the power is on.
