Fabric zoning and LUN security for multiple operating systems
You can conne ct multiple clusters of various operating systems to the same switch and
fabric using appropriate zoning and LUN security as follows:
• Storage por t zones may overlap if more than one operating system ne eds to
share an arra
yport.
• Heterogeneous operating systems may share an XP array port if you use S ecure
Manager and set the appropriate host group and mode. All others must connect
to a dedicat
ed XP array port.
• Use Secure Manager for LUN isolation when multiple hosts connect through a
shared array port. Secure Manager provides LUN security by allowing you to
restrict w
hich LUNs each host can access.
