Why does HP XP7 Storage pool usage level exceed the threshold?
    • M
      Mariah BurkeSep 9, 2025
If the pool usage level exceeds the threshold in HP Storage, it could be due to too many THP V-VOLs associated with the pool, too much data stored in the pool, or the pool's capacity being insufficient, or even the threshold being too low. To resolve this, consider adding pool-VOLs to increase the pool's capacity, reclaim zero pages to release space, or set a larger value for the pool's threshold.

Why does HP XP7 Storage Remote Web Console timeout frequently?
    • G
      Gary AdamsSep 10, 2025
When operating the Remote Web Console for HP Storage, timeouts can occur frequently if the Remote Web Console computer is under heavy load and cannot respond to the SVP, or if the time-out period is set too short. To address this, wait for a while before trying the operation again, or verify the setting of the environment parameter for the Remote Web Console RMI time-out period.

Why is the ALARM LED on my HP Storage system illuminated?
    • K
      Kimberly HaleySep 14, 2025
The ALARM LED might be on due to a temperature issue in the area. Power down the disk array, reduce the room temperature to the recommended operating range, and then power the storage system back on. If the area temperature is not the problem, contact the support center for assistance.
