only; base storage in the disk enclosure consists of 11 x 4 TB disks plus four hot plug disks. The HPE
StoreOnce 5500 System supports two models of capacity expansion.
44 TB Capacity Upgrade Kit: this is a pack of 11 x 4 TB disks which are added to an enclosure. Up to
five packs may be added to the base storage in a disk enclosure.
60 TB Capacity Upgrade Kit: this is an additional enclosure with base storage of 11 x 4 TB disks plus
four hot plug disks. Up to three further 60 TB Capacity Upgrades may be connected, and these may
also be expanded using the 44 TB Capacity Upgrade kits. It is not necessary to fill an enclosure before
adding the next.
