3.7.7 Slot Assignment for the RFUs in a Base Station Working in
UMTS+LTE Mode
When a base station works in UMTS+LTE mode, the RFU slot assignment in a cabinet must
comply with specific principles.
Numbering Scheme
l The sectors in a base station working in UMTS only mode are numbered from U1 in a
numerical order, for example U1 and U2.
l The sectors in a base station working in LTE only mode are numbered from L1 in a
numerical order, for example L1 and L2.
l The slots are numbered from 0 in a numerical order, for example slot 0, slot 1, and slot 2.
A slot can be identified through cabinet number+slot number, for example, slot 1 in cabinet
1 (primary RFC).
