1.5 Installing Cables
Note the polarities when installing batteries. Do not connect the positive and
negative poles of a battery or battery string together. Otherwise, the battery may
be short-circuited.
Wear insulated gloves and use insulated tools to prevent electric shocks or short
circuits.
Tighten the screws on cables to the torque specied in this document. Periodically
conrm whether the screws are tightened, check for rust, corrosion, or other
foreign objects, and clean them up if any. Loose screw connections will result in
excessive voltage drops or and batteries may catch
re when the current is high.
Stay away from the equipment when preparing cables to prevent cable scraps
from entering the equipment. Cable scraps may cause sparks and result in
personal injury and equipment damage.
