Adjust Sensitivity, Contrast and Range
APEX/SOLIX Series
The X-Press Menu provides menu options to adjust the sensitivity, contrast and range as you fish.
1. With a MEGA Live View displayed on-screen, tap Sonar (MEGA Live) in the status bar, or press the MENU key once.
2. Select Sensitivity, Contrast, or Range.
3. Press and hold the slider, or turn the Rotary dial, to adjust the setting.
Sensitivity
Sensitivity controls how much detail is shown on the display and will adjust the sensitivity
of all sonar frequencies. Decrease the sensitivity to eliminate the clutter from the display
that is sometimes present in murky or muddy water. When operating in very clear water
or greater depths, increase the sensitivity to see weaker returns that may be of interest.
Contrast
Adjust the Contrast setting to accent the light and dark parts of the MEGA Live Imaging
data to provide greater definition.
When Dynamic Contrast is turned on, the contrast will be automatically adjusted.
Range
Range controls how far the MEGA Live Imaging beams will ping. Select a low range
number to focus on a shorter distance and see greater detail on the screen. Select a
higher range number to see farther and see an overview of details on the screen.
QUICK TIP! You can also change this setting by tapping the Range icon in the status bar or by
using the ZOOM In and ZOOM Out keys.
NOTE: Your MEGA Live Mode (Down, Forward, Landscape) determines the Range options available
in the X-Press Menu.
