WARNING! After repair, you have to carry
out a function check of the chain brake.

For this test, the engine must not be running.
Check that the chain brake engages as follows:
1. Hold the chainsaw over a stable surface as shown in
gure 10. The distance between the bar and surface
is given in the table below.
2. Let go of the front handle and let the chainsaw
pivot round on the rear handle.
3. When the bar hits the surface the chain brake
should cut in.
