11.5 Replacing the generator (XPG)
1. The following components must be removed before
the generator can be replaced:
A. Starter. See gure 10.
B. Flywheel. See gure 10.
C. The rear vibration damping unit. See gure 10.
2. Unscrew the cover on the front handle. See gure
11.
3. Disconnect the three cables in the front handle.
See gure 12.
4. Remove the front handle (D) (ve to six screws) and
the vibration damping unit connected to the front
hand grip. See gure 10 and 11.
5. Loosen the cable from the fastening on the tank. See
gure 13.
6. Dismantle the two screws (A) on the generator. See
gure 14.
7. Lift out the generator and place the new generator.
See gure 15.
8. Push the cables between the tank unit and
carburettor area base and connect the cable to the
fastening on the tank. See gure 13.
9. Connect the three cables to the front handle. See
gure 12.
