2. Open a telnet session and log into the device as admin. The default password is password. Enable
the logging function on your telnet or serial console connection.
3. Back up the current conguration by entering configUpload. Enter the requested information at the
prompts.
Note: If you are using the Virtual Fabric feature, run configupload -vf before running the
configupload command to save the logical switch conguration.
This configUpload command uploads the device conguration to the customer-dened FTP server,
making it available for downloading. Alternatively, you can save the conguration le to a USB device.

4. Record the WWN value: Enter wwn, and then copy the command output into a le named cong-
miscinfo.txt.

6. Display and record the manufacturer serial numbers.
Enter chassisShow, and then copy the command output into the cong-miscinfo.txt le.
"Factory Serial Num" and "Serial Num" are listed under "Chassis/WWN Unit 1" and "Chassis/WWN
Unit 2". If the current WWN cards are the original cards, the factory serial number listed is the same
as the chassis serial number.
