e Rotate [DIAL] to select the desired pre-programmed
individual address or “Manual Input,” push
[DIAL•ENTER].
 •TheIDcodefortheindividualcallcanbesetinadvance.(p.17)
 •When“Manual Input” is selected, set the 9-digit MMSI
number for the individual you wish to call by rotating [DIAL].
1stdigitmustnotbe‘0’.
NOTE: When a base station is selected in step
e, the voice
channel is automatically specified by the base station, then
“Individual Call Ready” will appear. Therefore,
skip step r and go directly to step t.
r Rotate [DIAL] to select a desired intership channel, push
[DIAL•ENTER].
 •Intershipchannelsarealreadypresetintothetransceiverinrec-
ommended order.
t Push [DIAL•ENTER] to transmit the individual call.
 •IfChannel70isbusy,thetransceiverstandsbyuntilthechan-
nel becomes clear.
