Transmitting All ships call
Large ships use Channel 70 as their ‘listening channel.’ When
you want to announce a message to these ships, use the ‘All
Ships Call’ function.
q Push [MENU] to enter the DSC menu.
w Rotate [CHANNEL] to select “All Ships Call,” push
[ENT].
e Rotate [CHANNEL] to select the desired category, push
[ENT].
• Output power of ‘Routine’ category is 1 W (low power) only.
• The selectable category may differ according to the programmed
setting. Ask your dealer for the available categories.
r Push [ENT] to transmit the all ships call.
• Channel 70 is selected and the all ships call is transmitted.
t After the all ships call has been transmitted, the following
indication is displayed.
y Push [CLR] to exit the condition and selects Channel 16
automatically.
•Even if [CLR] hasn’t been pushed, the display automatically
changes to channel 16 after 2 sec. inactivity.
