In this case, set the squelch to the threshold point. * The volume level might be set too low. Adjust the volume to a suitable level. * The internal speaker might be off. Turn on the internal speaker.

  If the sensitivity of your Icom Transceiver is too low, and you can only hear strong signals, the antenna may be defective, or the coaxial cable connector is shorted or cut. Repair the problem and then reconnect to the antenna connector.
