3.3 ON FIELD INSTALLATION

3.4 POWER SUPPLY
Your reseller offers several power kits.
3.4.1 Mobile kit
Composition:
- A 12 V 24 AH battery
- A 3-steps network charger (Figure 1,marks 25 and 17): when charging from the grid, a
red/orange indicator lamp is lit on the external charger. The battery is fully charged when
the green lamp is lit.
After placing the battery in the slot, connect the plug of the battery into the socket, and close the slot
with the screws to ensure the water tightness.
3.4.2 Solar power kit
The kit is composed by a 12 V 24 AH battery and a solar panel. The solar regulator is mounted inside
the unit.
3.4.2.1 Mounting and installation
Place the solar panel on a mast, according to the manufacturer’s instructions. Turn it to the south,
avoiding shadow. For the mounting of the Icoms’ solar panel, see further in this document, p. 55.
