Movingtheleft‐handsticktotherightwillturn(yaw)thenoseofthehelicoptertotheright
abouttheaxisofthemainshaft.Thisisaccomplishedbyincreasingthespeed/RPMsofthe
uppersetofmainrotorbladeswhiledecreasingthespeed/RPMsofthelowersetofmain
rotorblades.
Theruddertrimlever(locatedimmediatelybelowtheleft‐handstick)canbeusedtohelp
keepthenoseofthehelicopterfromturning(yawing)totheleftorrightwhen‘hovering’and
withoutanyleft‐handstick/ruddercontrolinput.Forexample,ifthenoseof
thehelicopter
turnstotherightwhenhoveringslidetheruddertrimlevertotheleftuntilthenoseofthe
helicopterstaysascloseto‘straight’aspossiblewithnofurtherruddercontrol/triminput.
NOTE:ItisnotuncommonforthenoseofmostCX(coaxial)helicopterstodrift
slightlyinone
directionortheotherthroughoutaflight(asthemotorsheatupandthebattery’soutput
voltagedecreases).Thismeansyoumayfinditnecessarytoadjusttheruddertrimlever
position/settingslightlythroughoutaflightbuttypicallyit’snotmorethanafew‘clicks’one
wayor
theother.
