Hoist Points for engines.
1. Insert Lifting Hook (part number:
pt00839a) by feeding insertion cable
between the second and third sets of
intake port runners (from the front of
the engine) and out through the top of
the intake manifold as shown. This
location is the balance point of the
engine.
2. Pull the insertion cable to position
the lifting hook into position (hook
wedges symmetrically in the intake
manifold).
3. Lift by attaching the hoist to lifting
hook pt00839a (not the insertion
cable). A lifting strap or chain must
be used to lift the MV10 engine. The
chain must have a load bearing
capacity of at least 1,000lb. All
hooks, cranes and rigging used to lift
the engine must also have at least
1,000lb load capacity.
