WEATHER BAND OPERATION
1. Press
SETUP and program the county code following above “Programming a Single S.A.M.E.
County code” and “Programming Multiple S.A.M.E county code” sections.
2. Set all 6 digits to “-- -- -- -- -- --“ (blank).
Deleting the County Code
1. Press
SETUP to open menu options in unit standby mode.
2. Rotate the
SEARCH wheel until “7. ALERT MODE” is displayed on the screen.
3. Press ENTER and “VOICE” will start blinking on the screen.
4. To choose the voice alert, press
ENTER.
5. Once “VOICE” is chosen, the alert will sound for eight (8) seconds followed by 2 to 5 minutes of
weather broadcast.
6. To choose a siren alert, rotate
SEARCH wheel until “SIREN” blinks on the screen press ENTER to
save this setting.
7. Once “SIREN” is chosen, alert tones will sound for 2 to 5 minutes or until
ALERT is pressed. While
alert tone is sounding, press the
WEATHER/HAZARD ON/OFF button to listen the voice broadcasting.
8. During a voice or siren alert, press ALERT on unit, or POWER
AL OFF on remote control to stop
the alert.
Choosing an Alert (Voice or Siren)
1. To turn the alert on and o, press and hold ALERT for ve (5) seconds in power o state until
“ALERT ON” blinks on the screen.
2. Rotate the
SEARCH wheel to switch between “ALERT ON” and “ALERT OFF”.
3. Press ENTER to save your selection.
Turning the Alert ON / OFF
1. To set the alert volume, press SETUP when unit is in standby mode.
2. Rotate the
SEARCH wheel until “5. SIREN LEVEL” is displayed.
3. Press ENTER and “HIGH”, "MID" or “LOW” will start blinking.
4. Then rotate the
SEARCH wheel to choose “HIGH”, "MID" or “LOW” volume.
5. Press ENTER to save your setting.
