10.3.2 POSITION?
"POSITION?" is displayed if JUE-500 cannot receive GPS data .
JUE-500 equips GPS antenna on the backward of antenna pedestal of inner ADE.
The reception of GPS data might be impossible depends on the direction of GPS antenna,
due to the hull structures or mast of the ship causes the blocking of GPS satellite
communication.
Moreover, it might become difficult to receive the GPS data by arranging the GPS
satellite.
In this case, continuously receiving the GPS data is become possible, when the direction of
the antenna changes due to changing of the azimuth of the ship and blocking is
disappeared.
JUE-500 cannot communicate because selecting the spot beam is impossible if the GPS
data cannot be received.
10.3.3 Heading?
“Heading” may be displayed if the JUE-500 cannot receive GYRO signal, with using GYRO
I/F BOX and operated by GYRO mode.
Also, it may be displayed when unwanted outage of power is occurred.
Enter the Heading value of the ship again.
Confirm following matters just in case:
(1)Confirm the wiring between GYRO and GYRO I/F BOX.
(2)Confirm that the power switch of GYRO I/F BOX is set to ON.
(3)Confirm that the setting of the Dip switch of GYRO I/F BOX is correct.
