LOWER LABEL (Rearward Facing)
To be used only in a rearward-facing position for an infant until their shoulders reach the Lower
shoulder height marker (approximately 12 months of age).
Infants are at risk of serious injury if they face forward too early.
If the infants shoulders are below the lower label or if the baby’s neck muscles are unable to
support their head, then the infant should remain rear facing. When the child’s shoulder reach
the lower label, the child restraint may be turned to face towards the front of the car (refer page
19 Child Seat section).
