1.8.5 Safety measures during normal operating mode
Operate the machine only if all safety devices are installed and fully operable.
Watch out for loose parts and remove them, if necessary.
Vibrations can cause loose or insufficiently attached parts to fall down.
Pay attention to crushing or hitting points on face o r hip level at parts that protrude
from the base mounting (e.g. operator panel, chute).
Before switching the machine on, make sure that nobody can be endangered by
the machine starting up.
Inspect the machine for externally detectable damage and for the operability of the
safety devices at least once a day.
On all OPTIMA GROUP pharma machines observe the safety regulations in con-
formity with the accident prevention regulations “Packaging machines and auxili-
ary packaging machines” (in particular the sections Operation, Performance tests
and Tests) (VBG 76).
The local safety regulations must also be observed by the plant operator.
