Preheating and pan placement
Preheat the oven if the recipe calls for it. To preheat, set the oven at the correct
temperature. Preheating is necessary for good results when baking cakes,
cookies, pastry and breads.
The control will beep when the oven is preheated and the display will show your
set temperature. This will take approximately 15–20 minutes.
Baking results will be better if baking pans are centered in the oven as much as
possible. If baking with more than one pan, place the pans so each has at least
1" to 1½” of air space around it.
Aluminum foil and oven liners
Do not use any type of foil or oven liner to cover the oven
bottom. These items can trap heat or melt, resulting in damage to the
product and risk of shock, smoke or fire. Damage from improper use of
these items is not covered by the product warranty.
Foil may be used to catch spills by placing a sheet on a lower rack, several inches
below the food. Do not use more foil than necessary and never entirely cover an
oven rack with aluminum foil. Keep foil at least 1-1/2 from oven walls to prevent
poor heat circulation.
