4. Resetting Passwords and Center congurations
4.1. Reset
There are two types of reset: a temporary reset by hardware, and a permanent reset
by software (through programming mode).
The temporary reset restarts the installer password to 9090 for 30 seconds and the
master password to
1234
, without erasing any programming that has been done.
Programming mode reset, in addition to resetting the installer and master passwords
to factory defaults, also erases all secondary passwords and all programming that
has been done. However, if the Reset Lockout is enabled, it will not be possible to
perform a System Reset.
4.2. Temporary master password and installer reset
If you have forgotten the master password or the installer password, you will not be
able to enter programming mode and access the center’s settings. If this occurs, there
is a temporary Reset for these passwords. To perform this reset:
1. Disconnect the center from the AC mains and the battery;
2. Short-circuit the terminals where the siren is connected;
3. Connect the center to the AC mains or battery;
4. For 30 seconds, the master password will reset to
1234
and the installer password
will reset to
9090
.
During this period, it is possible to enter programming mode and change the master
password and/or the installer password again. If nothing is done during this period,
the password will revert to the previously programmed one.
4.3. Reset by programming mode
The Reset by programming mode, erases all the programming made in your alarm
center (including passwords, the name of the center and telephones) and cancels the
reporting of pending events.
