2.6.7.2 Auto-Traverse & Comprehensive rotary chairs
The Auto-Traverse & Comprehensive rotary chairs are available with VisualEyes™ 525, Orion
Comprehensive Basic, and Orion Auto-Traverse Basic.
The user gets the additional test options of the sinusoidal harmonic acceleration (SHA) test and the velocity
step test by combining the VisualEyes™ system with Orion Auto-Traverse/Comprehensive or System 2000
Auto-Traverse/Comprehensive rotary chairs. The chair is enclosed in a light-tight booth. The laser projector
is mounted on top of the chair frame and this is used to project the target stimulus in oculomotor testing,
VOR fixation tests, or SVV tests. An optokinetic drum is mounted to the booth ceiling, which provides a
full--field stripe stimulus. Auto-Traverse chairs have off-axis lateral movement capability used for dynamic
subjective visual vertical testing.
