Next, clear any obstructions in the intake hose. After that, check for air leaks on the intake line by tightening hose nuts and inspecting for damage, also check the pool water level. If the pool is excessively dirty, backwash the filter. If the sand media is clogged with dirt, remove about 1 inch of sand if necessary. Ensure the nozzle and strainer connections are not reversed. Remove any pool vacuuming device attached to the system line. Finally, ensure the inlet threaded air connector is connected to the pool inlet upper hole.

Check for clogs in the inlet or discharge and clear any obstructions. Also, inspect the intake line for air leaks, tightening hose nuts and checking for damage, and ensure the pool water level is adequate. Backwash the filter if the pool is excessively dirty. If the sand media is clogged with dirt, remove about 1” of sand if necessary. Make sure the nozzle is at the upper position of the pool inlet, and the strainer at the lower position of the pool outlet. Remove any pool vacuuming device attached to the system line, if there is crusting or caking on the filtering sand surface.
