3. As soon as water comes out of the air release valve, carefully close the air release
valve. Do not screw it too tight.
It is essential to vent the pump system and allow the air to escape as the pump
housing fills with water.
4. Insert the mains plug on the transformer

into a properly installed safety
socket.
5. Allow the pump to run until the water is as clean as required.
6. If water is not flowing into the pump, ensure that the skimmer

is perpendicu-
lar to and beneath the water surface.
7. Then open the air release valve again.
8. When water starts to come out, close the air release valve again.
When the pump is switched off, a few small drops of water may escape from the air jet
valve

. This is normal.
Leaving the pool assembled
If temperatures in your area do not fall below 5 °C and you decide to leave the pool
assembled, proceed as follows:
1. Clean the pool water thoroughly.
2. Disassemble the pump and the skimmer

(see the section ‘Disassembling the
pump and skimmer’).
3. Remove the ladder (if present) and store it in a safe place. Ensure that the ladder is
completely dry before storing.
4. Remove the pump hoses from the hose connections

5. Use the appropriate chemicals for the winter, as necessary.
Ask your local pool supplier which chemicals you should use and how to use them.
There are large regional variations in this regard.
6. Cover the pool with the cover sheet

Remember that the cover sheet is not a safety cover.
7. Clean and empty the pump, pump housing and pump hoses.
8. Remove and dispose of the used filter cartridge

(make sure you have a new
one for next season).
9. Prepare the pump and the skimmer for storage (see the section “Storage”).
