Incaseyourmobilitydeviceisnotusedforalongerperiodoftime,
youneedtoprepareitforstoragetoensurealongerlifeforyour
mobilitydeviceandbatteries.
Storingmobilitydeviceandbatteries
•Werecommendtostorethemobilitydeviceatatemperature
of15°C,avoidhotandcoldextremeswhenstoringtoensurea
longservicelifeoftheproductandbatteries.
•Thecomponentsaretestedandapprovedforgreater
temperaturerangesasdetailedbelow:
–Allowabletemperaturerangetostorethemobilitydeviceis
-40°upto65°C.
–Allowabletemperaturerangetostorebatteriesis-25°up
to65°C.
•Evennotbeingused,batteriesdischargethemselves.Best
practiceistodisconnectthebatterysupplyfromthepower
moduleifstoringthemobilitydevicelongerthantwoweeks.
Dependingonthemobilitydevicemodel,youcaneitherremove
thebatterypacksordisconnectthebatteriesfromthepower
module.Refertothecorrespondingchapteraboutdisconnecting
thebatteries.Ifindoubtwhichcabletodisconnect,contact
yourprovider.
•Batteriesshouldalwaysbefullychargedbeforestoring.
•Ifstoringthemobilitydevicelongerthanfourweeks,checkthe
batteriesonceamonthandrechargeasneeded(beforegauge
readshalffull)toavoiddamage.
•Storeinadry,well-ventilatedenvironmentprotectedfrom
outerinfluences.
•Slightlyoverinflatepneumatictires.
•Positionthemobilitydeviceonflooringthatisnotdiscoloredby
contactwithtirerubber.
Preparingmobilitydeviceforuse
•Re-connectthebatterysupplytothepowermodule.
•Thebatteriesmustbechargedbeforeuse.
•HavethemobilitydevicecheckedbyanauthorizedInvacare
provider.
