Tighten the lock nut securely.
Rotate the crankshaft 360°,
Realign the crankshaft damper pulley TDC notched
line with the timing pointer.
). Adjust the clearance for the remaining valves as
shown in the illustration.
INJECTION TIMING
Checking Procedure
1, Check that the notched line on the injection pump
fixing flange is aligned with the injection pump
mounting flange's notched line.
2. Ifa timing marks misalignment is discovered in the
timing inspection, do the following adjustment after
all of the fuel system parts have installed.
Adjustment Procedure
The fuel injection timing procedure differs depending on
the fuel injection pump type used.
The procedure for the in-line type injection pump
1. Disconnect the injection pipe from the No. 1
plunger.
This will allow you to visually check the fuel injec-
tion starting at the No. 1 plunger.
